6700 block Musgrave St. – complainant said three men approached her, knocked her to the ground and took her belongings. Offenders dashed off with a purse estimated by the complainant to be worth $1000.

February 23, 2011

400 block E. Rittenhouse St. – Complainant said someone approached her on the street and accused her of stealing her godmother’s cell phone. The offender then began to poke the complainant in the forehead, and then grabbed her purse. Nintendo and a cell phone were stolen. Offender was arrested.

300 block E. Walnut Lane – copper pipes, digital TV box and a desktop computer stolen from the property. Complainant said she returned home to find the back door forced open.

900 block Roumfort Road – 2008 Toyota Tundra stolen. Complainant said he started his vehicle and when he came back out the car was gone.

 

February 24, 2011

Unit block E. High St. – T-Mobile cell phone and an iPod touch stolen from the property. Complainant said he placed the items inside a metal scanner upon entering the school. He said the items were gone when we went to retrieve his belongings on the other side of the scanner.

Unit bloc Benezet St. – purse, two credit cards, a Mac laptop and $20 were stolen from the property. Complainant said there were no signs of a forced entry.

200 block E. Evergreen Ave. – iPhone and a handbag stolen from the property. Complainant said he was working in the basement when he heard a noise overhead. He said he called to his wife, but got no answer. When he went to investigate he saw someone dashing out the back door. Complainant said the rear door was unlocked.

400 block Pleasant St. – 2005 Chevy Equinox stolen.

6700 block Musgrave St. – complainant said three men approached her, knocked her to the ground and took her belongings. Offenders dashed off with a purse estimated by the complainant to be worth $1000.

6400 block Musgrave St. – 120 feet of copper pipe stolen from the property. Complainant, a contractor working on the listed location, said someone took the items from the basement. The property is vacant and has no alarm system.

4900 block Germantown Ave. – 2005 Mercedes C240 stolen. Complainant said his keys are also missing.

 

February 25, 2011

7800 block Provident St. – Complainant said her son allowed a student at Roxborough High School to use his T-Mobile cell phone. The offender refused to return the phone and proceeded to charge over $1500 in cell phone charges.

2400 block 77th Ave. – complainant someone stole her wallet and charged $800 to her credit card while she was in the hospital for several months.

5700 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said two men attacked him while he was walking at the location. The two offenders hit him in the head and tried to take his backpack. Complainant was able to fight off the offenders. Nothing was taken.

5000 block Chew Ave. – complainant, a T-Mobile employee, said someone entered the store, took a cell phone and fled. The incident was captured on the store’s surveillance system.

Unit block W. Chelten Ave. – complainant said he let someone borrow his iPod Touch while inside the library. When he asked for it back, the offender said he didn’t have the item.

400 block W. Springfield Ave. – HP laptop stolen from a 2002 Mini Cooper.

9000 block Germantown Ave. – HP Laptop was stolen from a 2004 Volkswagen.

 

February 26, 2011

7500 block Thouron Ave. – 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander stolen.

5500 block Matthews St. – HP Laptop, iPod Touch, Xbox Kinect, jewelry and more stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken from the living room and a second floor bedroom.

 

February 27, 2011

6200 block Baynton St. – four cell phones, two iPods and a wallet stolen from a 1995 Volvo Turbo 850. Complainant said the offender was gone when police arrived, but was apprehended after a short foot chance by police.

Unit block E. Armat St. – 2000 Toyota MR2 stolen.

6800 block Wissahickon Ave. – complainant said someone stole her credit card from her 2002 Toyota Camry and charged several hundred dollars worth of items from various stores. She said she placed her purse in her trunk while she took a walk in the woods. When she returned she noticed the card, along with $60 and a roll of quarters were gone.

 

February 28, 2011

800 block E. Chelten Ave. – police responded to a burglary alarm at Dee’s Laundromat. Police arrived to find a steel gate pried open and a glass door broken in. The offender walked out with $500 in cash and coins.

6300 block Stenton Ave. – complainant said an acquaintance stole her wallet containing $3,000. She said she was out with the offender at a restaurant. When she returned from the ladies room she saw the man rifling through her purse. When the two went outside of the establishment, the offender pushed her and snatched her wallet of her hand and ran. The two had met at a mall two weeks ago.

300 block E. Sharpnack St. – 1995 Hyundai Accent stolen. Complainant said his son may have left the keys in the car.

5600 block Nelson St. – A man was killed during a home invasion. A witness said the offender forced his way into the property and threatened her with a knife. A man in the house who went to intervene was stabbed in the chest and later died. The offender then fled the scene.

5600 block Sprague St. – complainant, the school principal, said a student attempted to stab another classmate with a pencil, then hit another. The student, suspended for 10 days, was released to his father.

 

March 1, 2011

E. Upsal St. / Boyer St. – complainant said she was robbed at gunpoint shortly after stepping off the bus to head to her mother’s house. Offender fled on foot with a Blackberry cell phone.

7100 block Limekiln Pike – iPhone, roller skates, laptop, $80 and various cards stolen from a 2009 Dodge Charger. Complainant said someone broke the driver side door lock.

1600 block Yerkes St. – four tires, five diamond rings, diamond earrings, Gucci watch and two diamond bracelets stolen from a 2007 Cadillac Escalade.

1400 block E. Washington Lane – 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen. Complainant said she found the car missing after she returned from a skiing trip.

7200 block Limekiln Pike – GPS, iPod, clothing and $100 stolen from a 1998 Pontiac Grand AM.

300 block E. Walnut Lane – PS3, video game, and 12 model cars stolen from the property. Complainant said someone entered through a bedroom window.

100 block W. Tulpehocken St. – black coat and black book bag with school supplies stolen from a 2009 Hyundai Sonata.
