Motorists traveling through Brick during rush hour Tuesday should plan for delays.

The snarl is due to a motor vehicle accident involving a downed traffic signal at Route 70 and Brick Boulevard that occurred around 4 p.m., according to emergency radio transmissions.

“Avoid the area. Huge mess,” wrote JSHN contributor Mike Weber.

The right lane on Route 70 eastbound at Brick Boulevard is blocked, according to 511nj.org. The service reports a five to 10 minute delay through the area at 4:37 p.m.
