Witness accounts

According to residents, the couple had just returned from a nearby fast-food restaurant and parked their car on nearby Gerry Street.

The victims were walking along 66th Avenue toward their residence when shots rang out. Police found the pair collapsed inside the house.

While no motive was immediately apparent, police found several shell casings on the sidewalk suggesting that a large caliber semi-automatic handgun was used in the shooting.

Chief Inspector Scott Small said that footage was obtained from external surveillance cameras present in the neighborhood.
