Couple rescued after boat sinks off of New Jersey coast

    The New Jersey Coast Guard and local emergency crews responded to a distress call late Saturday night.

    According to NJ.com, a couple was riding in a 27-foot boat when they reportedly hit a log. The vessel capsized and sunk soon after, leaving the pair treading water for about a half-hour, until emergency crews arrived.

    Firefighters pulled the couple out of the water early Sunday morning. Neither person was reportedly injured.
