Couple paid for wedding on now-closed Philadelphia Belle

Brett Condon and Rob Zahorchak recently paid $18,998 to cover the cost of their September wedding on the Philadelphia Belle.

But the riverboat announced last week it would cease operations, potentially leaving some cruise customers in the lurch. Condon and Zahorchak don’t know if they’re in that lurch yet, either, as Belle operators haven’t yet figured out what to do with the wedding.

Daily News columnist Ronnie Polaneczky suggests reopening the Belle for a day to give the couple the wedding they paid for, but says she couldn’t get the Belle‘s owner on the phone Friday to discuss alternatives.

It remains to be seen if an how the couple will be reimbursed.
