Country’s oldest living Marine dies in Delaware County
A 105-year-old believed to be the country’s oldest living Marine has died in Delaware County.
Alfred L. DeSerio died Saturday at the St. Francis Country House in Darby. He served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War before moving to Delaware County and working in maintenance until he retired.
His funeral is scheduled for Thursday morning at the St. Francis Country House followed by a burial service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon.
