Council’s budget falls short on schools’ expectations, Levittown marks an anniversary

    Good morning, Feeders!

Tom MacDonald is still on Philadelphia budget duty. He’ll have the latest for us on Council’s budget and reaction from Mayor Michael Nutter and the School District of Philadelphia. Council is giving $40 million to the schools.
Lizz Fiedler is already out catching up with Ed Rendell as he promotes his book. He uses the word ‘wussies’ in the title, so we’re sure to hear something interesting from him today.

Carolyn Beeler is tracking the plan for higher education reform in New Jersey and how it will impact UMDNJ, while Taunya English looks into how lower-income patients get help finding drug discounts.

And Peter Crimmins is out in the ‘burbs working on a story 60 years in the making. Levittown, Bucks County, has an anniversary this weekend.
