Council candidate announces public safety plan at Strangler site
The vacant lot at Cumberland and Jasper streets has come to be known as the place the cops found a Kensington Strangler victim. Joe Grace today plans to make it the spot where he talks about public safety.
The city council candidate will hold an afternoon press conference today at the lot where 35-year-old Nicole Piacentini’s body was found. Piacentini was one of three women murdered by the Antonio Rodriguez, the Kensington Strangler.
Grace, who’s gunning for the 1st District seat, has chosen the spot to announce his public safety plan, which includes implementing harsher penalties for gun violence, enforcing the tracking of lost and stolen guns and restoring funding to clean vacant lots.
