Could Blondell Reynolds Brown be Philadelphia’s next mayor?

A lot of names have surfaced as possible candidates in Philadelphia’s next mayoral race.

Councilman Bill Green, City Controller Alan Butkovitz and District Attorney Seth Williams have all popped up on the mayoral radar, though it’s a little early to tell who will appear on the ballot.

Today’s Daily News tosses another name into the hat — Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown.

She’s serving her fourth at-large term on Council, and her core focus has been on women’s and children’s issues that are getting a lot of attention these days.
