Corbett signs bill for more happy hour flexibility

Happy hours in Pennsylvania just got happier. Gov. Tom Corbett yesterday signed a bill that makes changes to some of the state’s liquor laws. Among those changes is more flexibility for happy hours.

Bars are still required to cap their total hours of happiness at 14 hours per week, as KYW reports, but managers will have more say in when they can hold those hours. The max per day is now four, instead of two, so bars can better arrange for special events and meet their patrons’ happy hour desires.

Check back with NewsWorks later for details on how the new law will affect local bars.
