Cops Jr.

Kudos are in order for Roscoe Jones, a Cadet in the Philadelphia Police Explorer program for those seeking to become police officers.  Today, Jones, a native of North Philadelphia, was awarded a $1,000 college scholarship to further his aspirations of becoming a Philadelphia Police Officer.  To that end, he’ll take courses in criminal justice at Community College of Philadelphia.

Here’s a question for all you feeders: in a year where the Philadelphia Police Department has endured numerous black eyes for corruption and other scandals, how important is it to make sure the next generation of officers, charged with our safety, has a high level of education before applying to the academy?  Tell us what you think.  Feed the Feed.
