‘Cooking With Who?’ competition returns to Mt. Airy

The “Platinum Spatula” will be up for grabs again when the “Cookin’ With WHO” fundraising competition returns to Mt. Airy on Nov. 8.

The event – organized by East Mount Airy Neighbors, Neighborhood Interfaith Movement and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia – pits 10 “celebrity” chefs against one another to determine whose recipe is the tastiest.

The winner will take home the culinary-themed prize.

This year’s slate of contestants includes: Eighth District City Councilwoman Cindy Bass, EMAN President Ken Reichert, Mt. Airy USA’s Anuj Gupta and Rabbi George Stern with NIM.

Stern’s recipe won last year during the event’s inaugural edition.

Tickets are $50. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the host organizations.

The Thursday night competition will take place between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. inside the Brossman Center on LTSP’s campus at 7301 Germantown Ave.
