‘Cookin’ with who?’ fundraiser benefits 3 NW Philly community organizations

The fourth annual “Cookin’ with Who?” event was held Thursday night at the Brossman Center to benefit three Northwest community institutions organizations: Awbury Arboretum, East Mt. Airy Neighbors and The Lutheran Theological Seminary.

Ten “celebrity chefs” were chosen amongst known and active community members to share their recipes and vie for a chance to win the coveted Mt. Airy Platinum Spatula award. The evening generated a great mood with everyone eating, drinking, chatting with the chefs and participating in a raffle.

Rita Faison, hospitality and events coordinator at the Lutheran Theological Seminary says this is a community event they plan to bring back every year.

“We try to foster a fun atmosphere where everyone enjoys getting together seeing friends and neighbors.”
