Community mourns loss of Glenolden teens

The Glenolden community continues to mourn the loss of two teenagers this weekend, who died Friday in a hit and run near at the intersection of Chester Pike and Glenolden Avenue.

WPVI-TV reports a candlelight vigil was held Saturday night for the two teens, who were crossing the street Friday night when they were hit by a speeding car.

The two teenagers have been identified as Michael Taylor and Mark McNeill, both 15-years-old, according to WPVI-TV.

Glenolden Police say a 19-year-old, Marquis Thompson, has been taken into custody for allegedly hitting the two teens, according to WPVI-TV. Thompson allegedly was fleeing from an officer after he was pulled over on Chester Pike.
