Commission approves new places to purchase E-Z Pass

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is working to make its E-ZPass more available by adding it to the shelves of Walmart.

According to The Patriot-News, turnpike commission members voted to enter into an agreement which would allow Walmart to sell E-ZPass transponders and start-up kits.

The Patriot-News reports the turnpike commission is in similar talks with Wegmans to allow the sale of transponders at 10 of its stores.

A spokesman for the turnpike commission tells The Patriot-News the move makes the purchase of a transponder easier and faster.
