Commentator sides with School District in Hope Moffett case

It’s over. Hope Moffett has returned to Audenried High School. To the School District’s apparent delight, she read a short statement about the circumstances that led to her near-termination.

We can all focus on something else now. Almost.

In what may be the only defense of the School District, Philly Post writer Chris Freind says Moffet was due for termination.

Freind makes the same argument the district did before the union and the courts got involved: Moffett endangered her students when she gave them SEPTA tokens without permission and encouraged them to leave school property to protest a takeover of their high school.
