Coatesville owes state for under-reported salaries and penalties

The Commonwealth is after Coatesville to pay up for the salaries the city under-reported under former City Manager Harry Walker.

Coatesville owes $500,000 for the under-reported salaries, and for the interest the pension fund would have gained had Walker not instructed city employees to leave their overtime off their W-2 forms.

The West Chester Daily Local reports the Auditor General’s office has the right to withhold state budget funds if Coatesville doesn’t get things in order.
