Coatesville looking for $1 million county grant for Velodrome parking lot

If Coatesville is going to have a 100,000-square-foot facility for indoor cycling event, it’s going to need a parking lot.

So the city is seeking a $1 million grant from Chester County to build said parking lot.

The Coatesville Redevelopment Authority is hoping for a piece of the county’s $2.5 million redevelopment grant funding, and would need 15 percent in matching funds, which the Velodrome developer has reportedly agreed to pay.

The West Chester Daily Local reports $3 million in private funding has been secured for the project as the developers and redevelopment authority near an agreement for the land at  Route 82 and Lincoln Highway.
