Civil War commemoration begins

Ladies and gentlemen, the Civil War has begun. Beginning today, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

For the next four years, the HSP and Civil War History Consortium will join 70 partners to commemorate the war. Events kick off this week, including a display of artifacts and documents, a march down Broad Street and a living history demonstration.
