City planning gives its blessing to three street bills

Green Tree Charter School is a step closer to building a new track.

The City of Philadelphia Planning Commission this week gave its blessing to Streets Bill 120178, authorizing the striking of

Tulpehocken Street from Ardleigh Street to Crittenden Street to make room for it.

Planning also said ok to two streets bills related to Children’s Hospital. Streets Bill 120249 authroizes the hospitle to encroach upon the public walkway to place a canopy, underground tie-backs for a retaining wall, raised planters, bicycle racks and bollards on Civic Center Boulevard, East Service Drive and Health Sciences Drive.  Streets Bill 120249 authorizes the striking of East Service Drive and Health Sciences Drive from the city plan and conveys it to the hospital, making the hospital – not the city – responsible for  underground oil vaults.
