City Council will debate wall wrap billboard for Electric Factory building

With provisions already tacked on from the City Council Rules Committee, full Council now has to debate whether the city is ready for a wall wrap billboard on a building at Seventh and Callowhill streets.

The owner of the Electric Factory building between Sixth, Seventh, Callowhill and Spring Garden wants a billboard on the edifice, KYW reports, despite opposition from city Commerce Director Alan Greenberger and SCRUB attorney Stephanie Kindt.
On its website, SCRUB’s image of the proposed billboard features a whiskey ad, but the Rules Committee today amended the bill to preclude tobacco and liquor ads on the wrap.

The measure was sent to full Council for consideration.
