Citizen planners

Many of you civic minded Feed readers might appreciate this news.  Thirty Philadelphia school students will be honored tonight at a ceremony featuring Mayor Nutter and city planning officials for “helping Philadelphia communities and neighborhoods become the neighborhoods they hope to be – now and for future generations.”  The students are the first “graduates” of the Citizens Planning Institute pilot course, part of the city’s Philadelphia2035 initiative, which will release its comprehensive plan next spring.

Are you happy with the way the city has engaged citizens in its plan for redevelopment?  Let us know what you think by feeding the Feed.
