Christmas Tree Recycling Program runs through Jan. 15

As the city’s recycling collection gets back to normal after the holidays, don’t make the mistake of leaving your Christmas tree curbside.

The city’s Christmas Tree Recycling Program is in full swing and runs through Jan 15. Trees can be dropped off at any Sanitation Convenience Center around Philadelphia. In the Northeast, that’s the location at Ashburner Street and State Road.

Trees can be dropped off Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. They should be untied and free of decorations, bags and wrapping.

If you leave your tree at the curb, it will be collected as trash.
