Christmas comeback

The City of Philadelphia has decided to restore Christmas to the Dilworth Plaza Christmas Village. Cue comments from the local media.

It seems the latest decision made about the Christmas Village will be the last, so now that things can’t flip-flop anymore, this morning welcomed a slew of opinions from the friendly faces of our local media sources. We’ve rounded them up for you:

Inquirer columnist Dan Rubin reminds us that not everyone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas is a grinch.

Stu Bykofsky took to the pages of the Daily News to remind folks that Christmas is a federal holiday, whether you acknowledge the holiday or not.

Michael Smerconish got right to his point in the Daily News by using the word ‘idiots’ in his second sentence.

Steve Keeley of Fox29 is calling on Mayor Nutter to think like Linus and remember the true meaning of Christmas.

We must admit, Keeley’s a little on track with the “Charlie Brown” reference. That City Hall Tree could use a little Linus love.
