Christie’s office to inspect Great Egg Harbor Bridge fence

The barbed wire-topped fence at the Great Egg Harbor Bridge is the subject of an inspection by N.J. Gov. Chris Christie’s office.

The fence is slated to come down next year, but now the governor’s office wonders if the anti-terror fence was needed in the first place.
Check out the Press of Atlantic City‘s story on the fence, which many say does little to prevent terrorism on the bridge but does obstuct views.

The fence will come down in 2013 when the bridge gets a makeover.
