Christie wants review of state’s response to storms

Urging the state not to treat his order like a summer homework assignment, N.J. Gov. Chris Christie has called for a review of the state’s response to Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee — the sooner the better.

At a Cabinet meeting Friday, Christie praised government leaders for their handling of the storms, but ordered the review to prepare for whatever comes next, as the Daily Journal reports.

The goal is to make disaster response more seamless, though Christie did not cite any specific problems.
