Chocolate beer: Reading Terminal Market to offer first public tasting

Reading Terminal Market is giving beer fans the opportunity to try something a little a new take on an old favorite.

The popular Philadelphia market, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary, is offering the first public tasting of “Engine 1892 Market Stout,” a newly created, local chocolate stout beer.

The tasting begins this afternoon at 4 p.m.

The chocolate beer contains 70 percent cocoa from Reading Terminal Market’s Chocolate by Mueller. A tap handle, specially designed, will be installed at Molly Malloy’s for anyone of age who wants to give the beer a taste.
