Child admits to assaulting neighbor in Juniata

A 10-year-old boy remains in custody after admitting yesterday that he robbed and assaulted his Juniata neighbor.

Family Court Administrative Judge Kevin Dougherty likened the attack on the Vietamese woman a hate crime, the Daily News reports, but has not yet issued a punishment for the boy.

The boy, a 7-year-old and a 20-year-old are accused of entering the woman’s home and beating her with rocks, a potted plant and other objects, and taking money.
