Chestnut Hill businesses go national to keep it local

    Small businesses in Chestnut Hill are, of all things, going national to encourage local shopping. The Chestnut Hill Business Association supports the 3/50 Project, asking residents to support their local businesses by saving three stores at a time with $50 purchases.

    NewsWorks partner Philadelphia Neighborhoods reported on the trend, which has already helped local economies in Ohio and New Jersey.
