Chestnut Hill

Are you a history fanatic? Attend a ‘Speaker Night’ on the settlement of Chestnut Hill and Springfield Township.The lecture will be presented on at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, located at 1710 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown.

It is a joint program of the Chestnut Hill and Springfield Township Historical Societies. Presentations will include “Chestnut Hill and Springfield Township: 18th-century Land Development and Architecture,” by Jefferson M. Moak, Senior Archivist, National Archives & Records Administration; and “Millers and Mystics” by David Contosta, Professor of History, Chestnut Hill College.
