Chester County treasurer announces campaign for Pennsylvania auditor general

Chester County Treasurer Ann Duke has announced her campaign for Pennsylvania Auditor General.

The West Chester Republican released the following statement, along with the announcement of her website:

“In these tough economic times, it is crucial that every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely. I will bring the same commonsense, fiscally conservative reforms I have implemented in the Chester County Treasurer’s office to the office of Auditor General.”

Meanwhile, Dan Onorato (you might remember him as Tom Corbett’s opponent in the Pennsylvania gubernatorial race), has endorsed Democratic Pa. Rep. Eugene DePasquale of York County. Onorato was once thought to be a contender for the auditor general seat.
