Suburban papers holding contest for a year’s worth of free gas

Update: The contest is also being offered by the Tri-county Record, Delaware County Daily Times, Phoenix and the West Chester Daily Local — all part of Journal Register Co. We’re awaiting confirmation from the publisher to find out how many papers are involved.

For those who get their news online (or not at all), the Pottstown Mercury is giving you a reason to read the paper.

Starting today through May 29, the Mercury is giving away a $50 gas card every day, and a $100 gas card every Sunday. Entrants are in the running to win a $50 every week for a year.

There are rules, naturally. You can send in as many entry forms from the paper as you like, but you only have one shot to enter online. You’ve got 48 hours to claim your prize, so check the contest website (which goes live today at 9 a.m.) to see if you’re the winner.
