Cherry Hill employee in hot water over offensive email

An official in Cherry Hill’s Department of Public Works is in hot water after an email he sent to Woodcrest Elementary Principal  Beth Ann Kob compared his employees to animals. Kevin Larson, the district’s director of operations and facility management, likened his workers to gorillas and polar bears.

When Kob reached out to Larson last month requesting snow removal at the school, Larson emailed back, writing: “All of my polar bears, trained seals and the two silver back mountain gorillas on loan from the township” have been reassigned.

As the Courier Post reports, Larson went on to say the workers moved faster when a banana was dangled in front of the snow blower. The mayor has already expressed his distaste and the DPW is remaining mostly quiet after its initial apology.
