Checking in with Occupy Philly and patients facing drug shortages

Good morning, Feeders, and Happy Halloween! It’s the big trick-or-treating night, so don’t forget to send us your photos.

Tom MacDonald will be milling about City Hall today checking in with Occupy Philly. He’ll also catch up with the Philadelphia Police Department about the return of its mounted unit and a new stable.

Did you know when you leave a tip on your credit card the restaurant may take a portion out before the money makes it to your server? Councilman Jim Kenney will introduce legislation around that tomorrow, and Lizz Fiedler will have the details for us ahead of the bill’s debut in chambers.

President Barack Obama is due to issue an executive order on drug shortages. Carolyn Beeler will talk to local patients bracing for the results and to area doctors about their treatments.

And speaking of Halloween photos, we’ve got plenty from Main Street Manayunk. Check them out here.
