Chaput returns to Colorado before new role with Catholic Archdiocese of Phila.

    Charles Chaput, the newly named leader of the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, has returned home to Colorado as he prepares to make the move to Pennsylvania.

    According to a report from the Associated Press out of Denver, Colorado, Chaput will hold a press conference this afternoon to discuss his appointment to lead Philadelphia’s 1.5 million Catholics.

    Chaput has spent most of his career in the West.  According to the Associated Press, he’ll serve as the administrator of the Denver Archdiocese until he’s installed in Philadelphia next month.
