Grocery store chain A&P has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., which operates A&P, Pathmark, SuperFresh and Food Basics, said its stores will remain fully stocked and operational.

The company, which runs 395 stores across the country, reported a $153.7 million net loss in the 12-week period that ended Sept. 11, the Star-Ledger reports. The company has been struggling since the 2007 $678 million purchase of Pathmark.
