Central Delaware Advocacy Group chooses new officers

The Central Delaware Advocacy Group – the organization comprised of representatives from waterfront communities and organizations that advocates for the public’s waterfront goals – chose Matt Ruben as its new chairman Thursday.

Ruben, who is president of the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association, takes over for out-going chairman Steven Weixler, who is president of the Society Hill Civic Association. Weixler had been CDAG’s first and only chair.

Also appointed were co vice-chairs Joe Schiavo of Old City and Laura Lanza of Port Richmond; Secretary Richard Wolk of Queen Village; and Treasurer Rene Goodwin from Pennsport.

All officers were “endorsed without opposition,” said the group’s attorney, Jim Moss.
