Carpenters union celebrates new facility
Downstate carpenters union celebrates grand opening of new training facility.The United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local Union 2012, will cut the ribbon on their new, state-of-the-art training center in Georgetown this afternoon. Powered in part by a 50kw solar power system, the building will be used to educate new apprentices in the carpentry trade, in addition to helping current workers in the field stay up to date on the latest advances. Governor Markell is expected to be on hand to help celebrate.
