Carla Robinson joining PPIIN as editorial director

Our friends at the Philadelphia Public Interest Information Network just announced that 20-year Philadelphia journalism veteran and non-profit native Carla Robinson has joined their ranks as editorial director.

Her mission: “to educate, engage and empower the public around key issues,” according to PPIIN founding CEO Neil Budde.

Robinson is known for creating Boundless Philadelphia, a web-based outdoor recreation resource for tourists and residents, and for the Philadelphia Daily News column Urban Warrior, which tried to solve problems raised by readers.

PPIIN is a project of Temple University’s Center for Public Interest Journalism.
