Caretakers charged with abuse waive preliminary hearing

A preliminary hearing was waived yesterday by the three women charged with abusing a Delaware County nursing home resident.

Arraignment for Ayesha Muhammad, Tynia Griffin and Samirah Traynham is set for July 14 for charges of simple assault, neglect of a care-dependent person, reckless endangerment and harassment, as the Main Line Times reports.

The three employees of the the Quadrangle assisted living facility were arrested in April for allegedly abusing and neglecting a  78-year-old Alzheimer’s resident. The woman’s family used a hidden camera to capture the abuse.
