Camden police honor laid off officers

Lizz Fiedler is in Camden today, where she’s talking to officers, residents and Mayor Dana Redd about the impending layoffs of police and firefighters. Lizz reports:

Around 9 am this morning dozens of police officers and firefighters who are being laid off gathered at Camden FOP headquarters.  The police officers each put down a pair of boots in front of the headquarters in a line to show how many officers are being laid off.  The firefighters applauded the police – by the line of boots – then the firefighters walked to the Fire Administration building to turn in their gear.  Mayor Redd is having a presser at City Hall at noon to talk about the lay offs.
