Camden County borough to display 9/11 artifacts

An entourage carrying Sept. 11 artifacts will arrive in New Jersey Wednesday afternoon, carrying soil, limestone and steel through Brooklawn.

Soil from the Flight 93 sight in Shanksville, Pa., limestone from the Pentagon and steel from the World Trade Center will be incorporated into the Camden County borough’s 9/11 memorial, the Gloucester County Times reports.

Groundbreaking for the memorial — funded entirely through donations — begins July 18, and the work will be completed Sept. 11, marking the 10-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
