Camden adds more lots to abandoned properties list

Camden Mayor Dana Redd says the city has added 37 lots to its list of abandoned properties, bringing the total to 218. The latest lots — in Parkside, Fairview and Morgan Village — join a growing list of properties tapped for acquisition and rehabilitation.

Nearly 80 properties were added to the list last week, according to a statement from Redd’s office, and all the properties will be assessed by the city’s new Abandoned Property Toolkit.

The public can submit properties to the list, and once the owner has been notified and any appeals run their course, the properties are officially on the list
