Baby ducks and more at the 2017 Burlington County Farm Fair

The Burlington County Farm Fair rolls into the county fairgrounds this week, offering a five-day glimpse of farm life and plenty of old-fashioned family fun.

Highlights include antique farm machinery parades, tractor and horse pulls, pig races, midway rides and lots of cute farm animals like baby ducks.

Animals are definitely the main attraction as the county’s 4-H members display their prized goats, bunnies, guinea pigs, horses, reptiles, chickens, cows and more.

New this year is Munchkinland — an amusement area for kids under 42 inches tall, with a play port for little ones measuring under 36 inches.

The five-day farm fair also features a children’s decorated wagon contest, pet show, scarecrow building competition, farm queen pageant, local talent “star search”, skillet throw, spike driving and milking contests, outdoor laser tag and bubble ball.

Attendees can also catch live performances from The Prestos, The Wood Shop Band, Second Time Around, Josh Holland, Warm Hearted Country, Bullzeye Band, Stereofonic, Electrona (EDM DJs) Mav3rick and the Burlington County 4-H Cloggers.

The event is rain or shine. Admission is free, but parking donations are $10 per car or a $25 multi-day parking pass. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Tuesday, Jul 18 through Friday, Jul 21, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday, Jul 22, 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. 1990 Jacksonville-Jobstown Rd, Columbus, N.J.
