Burke settling in as Delaware U.S. District Court judge

Delaware’s newest U.S. District Court judge is settling into his chambers after being sworn in last week.

Christopher J. Burke is the new magistrate judge, replacing Leonard Stark, who became a U.S. district judge last year.

Burke will first assemble his staff and undergo training before he hears cases, as the Wilmington News Journal reports. The court is still short one person on the bench, though a state prosecutor has already been nominated to fill the spot, and action is expected on the nomination next month.
