Bucks County Register of Wills pleads guilty to political corruption

Bucks County Register of Wills Barbara Reilly will be sentenced in January after pleading guilty Friday to political corruption.

Back in March, a grand jury indictment alleged Reilly used taxpayer funds for her staff’s political work and then covered up the evidence. Reilly and her second deputy, Rebecca Kiefer, pleaded late last week. Administrator Candice Quinn pleaded guilty in September.

The Intelligencer reports the pleas are not part of a sentencing exchange, and the guilty pleas mean those county administrators won’t receive the part of their pensions contributed by the county or the interest accrued on those pensions.
