Bucks County coach resigns amid allegations of injury bounty

Morrisville School District didn’t release the name of the coach who resigned this week, but the Courier Times reports high school assistant football coach Jason Bresnen is the one being accused of offering a bounty to his players for injuring the opposing team.

He’s accused of telling the team during Saturday’s game against New Hope-Solebury he’d pay $100 to anyone who knocked a New Hope-Solebury player out.

Bresnen denied the charges and resigned, and the district, in a four-paragraph statement, declared the matter resolved and said it’s working with the other district. Citing personnel reasons, the district didn’t comment further.
