Brown schedules mayoral town halls “with or without” Nutter’s appearance
After being given airtime on NBC10 as part of candidates’ rights to equal airtime, Philadelphia’s Republican mayoral candidate Karen Brown has decide it’s about time the candidates come face to face, instead of using separate airtime to further their platforms.
Brown has gone ahead and scheduled two town hall meetings, though she says incumbent Michael Nutter hasn’t gotten back to her about them.
“These town Hall Meetings will proceed with or without you but we would love your presence to ensure all voters can have a voice in our city,” she wrote in a letter to Nutter.
If nothing else, voters can ask Brown questions at the following locations:
Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. – Bridgeman’s Hall Ironworkers Local 401, 11600 Norcom Rd.Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. – Kingsessing Park, Kingsessing Avenue & 51st Street
