Bridgeton eyes another location for proposed splash pad

So what happened at last night’s Bridgeton City Council meeting about the splash pad?

In short, the water attraction won’t be installed at Veterans Memorial Park, but the decision might have had little to do with the group of war vets who attended the meeting in opposition of the plan.
The proposed site would have disturbed designated wetlands, according to the News of Cumberland County report, so the city is now trying to install the splash pad near the zoo, where there is also access to water and sewage utlities.

Next steps include applying for funding and finding ways to improve the whole of Bridgeton City Park.
