Bridal store refuses service over bride’s sexual orientation

Something tells us this might not be a great advertisement for Here Comes the Bride.

The manager at the Somers Point shop has refused service to a customer because that customer is a lesbian.

Alix Genter told Daily News columnist Ronnie Polaneczky how it went down: Genter brought her family to help choose a dress with service from manager Donna (last name not provided).

All went well until Donna saw Genter’s forms filled out with “partner” instead of “husband.” That’s when Donna decided to stop helping Genter, calling Genter’s upcoming nuptials “illegal.”

There’s an interesting question between Polancezky’s apologies to Genter: even if Donna the manager thinks gay couples shouldn’t wed, why turn down a customer just because she happens to be gay? Feed the Feed.
